Josephine Hart passed away on June 2, 2011, after a private battle with cancer. Josephine was an accomplished novelist and a tireless champion of poetry. As an author and friend, we remember her as generous, brilliant, and endlessly gracious. We were all in awe of her powerful, magnetic presence—both on the page and in person.
